I am happy to share that DocHQ has been awarded Winner – Best Use of Technology for Customer Experience (Service Provider) at the Insurance Times Tech & Innovation Awards 2025

This recognition is more than a trophy: it is a signal that our vision for digital physiotherapy (care that is adaptive, accessible, and deeply human) is reshaping how we think about musculoskeletal (MSK) health.

For too long, physiotherapy has been rooted in rigid, paper-based plans. These pathways assume that recovery follows a predictable curve, when in reality, recovery is anything but linear. Patients fluctuate: one day strong, the next day struggling. Yet the plan remains unchanged. The result is disengagement, inconsistent adherence, and avoidable setbacks.

The irony is striking: at the very moment patients need care to be most personal, traditional models offer the least flexibility.

The Human Element

At DocHQ, we asked a simple but radical question: What if physiotherapy could adapt in real time?

Our answer was to design a virtual physiotherapy platform that unites AI, motion tracking, and clinical expertise. Every rep, every posture, every pain signal is captured and interpreted. Programmes adapt instantly; slowing patients down when they need rest, nudging them forward when they’re ready, and escalating to clinicians when patterns suggest risk. Technology is powerful, but it is not a substitute for care. Our platform does not aim to replace physiotherapists; it is designed to empower them. Algorithms adjust the tempo, but clinicians provide reassurance. Dashboards flag anomalies, but humans interpret the nuance.

This is the future of healthcare: not machine over human, but machine with human — each amplifying the other’s strengths.

The judges described our solution as “a game-changing innovation that combines technology with decision-making capabilities from both AI and humans.” That balance matters. AI provides relentless precision and scalability; clinicians provide empathy, context, and judgment. Together, they create care that is not only personalised, but responsive.

Why this matters for insurers and employers

The implications extend far beyond the clinic. For insurers, adaptive digital physiotherapy addresses one of the industry’s most pressing cost drivers: MSK claims.

By improving treatment adherence and accelerating recovery, we reduce claims frequency, limit downstream costs, and deliver demonstrably better outcomes.

For employers, this translates into a healthier, more productive workforce. Absenteeism falls. Presenteeism improves. Staff feel supported not just as employees, but as people.

And for patients, perhaps most importantly, this means accessible care that adapts to them – not the other way around.

Winning this award is a milestone, but it is also a reminder of our purpose. DocHQ exists to put patients first, improve outcomes, and make physiotherapy accessible at scale.

Thank you

On behalf of everyone at DocHQ, I want to thank the Insurance Times and the judging panel for recognising the importance of blending technology with the human touch in physiotherapy.

👏 The fact that all three Customer Experience winners at the IT Tech Awards 2025 were healthcare organisations isn’t coincidence. It’s a signal. When the service is care, experience can’t be an add-on. It’s the product.

As we look ahead, we remain committed to building a future where adaptive, human-centred care becomes the standard…not the exception. The journey is only beginning, and we are excited to continue leading the way!
