Tell us a little bit about yourself

Hi, I am Debby! I studied economics for my undergraduate degree. During my last year of university, I started helping a friend with marketing and project management for his clothing brand, and I found that I really enjoyed it. This led me to pursue a master’s degree in marketing and analytics. Now, at DocHQ, I’m working as a marketing intern and have been honing my skills in content creation, social media management, and project coordination.

What about working with DocHQ interested you?

As someone who is just starting out in marketing,, I was immediately drawn to the diverse range of products that DocHQ offers. From physical products like DocHQ supplements and the travel checker, to advanced AI software like the personal trainer and physio, which is more tech product marketing. What’s more, I was impressed by DocHQ’s commitment to prioritising employee well-being. So not only do I get to learn and grow in my marketing skills, but I also get to do it in a positive and supportive work environment.

What are the main benefits and downsides to flexible/remote working for you?

I get to work from the comfort of my home, pursue my hobbies, and spend time with my family, which is great considering I’ve been away studying for almost 6 years. However, the downside of remote work is not being able to see my team in person. We work well together remotely, but I imagine it would be even more fun in the office.

Do you have any long or short-term career goals that you are thinking about?

In the short term, my goal is to continue learning, which is great because DocHQ gives me that opportunity. In just a few months working at DocHQ, I have picked up several new skills, such as social media analytics, motion graphics, and animation, and I would love to keep building on that knowledge. Long-term, I aspire to continue to grow my marketing skills and progress within my company. Ultimately, I want to be someone who can create innovative marketing campaigns that make an impact.

Have you any hobbies that you do in your spare time to get some space from work?

Yes, I love shopping – it’s a very expensive hobby! I also enjoy pinning away on Pinterest, and my sisters and I run a Pinterest page called CoolGirlAesthetics where we update it every day with style tips and inspiration. Additionally, I recently started taking tennis lessons, which has been a fun and challenging way to stay active and relieve stress outside of work.
